Piled-high sheet pan nachos with seasoned beef, beans, melted cheese and fresh toppings.
Serves: 4Prep: 15 minCook: 15 minTotal: 30 min
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 bag (10 oz) sturdy tortilla chips
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained
- 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1 avocado, diced
Method
- Brown beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, 6 to 8 minutes. Drain fat, stir in taco seasoning and water and simmer 3 minutes.
- Heat oven to 400°F (200°C). Layer half the chips on a lined sheet pan, then half the beef, beans and cheese. Repeat with a second layer, stacking in a mound.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.
- Top with lettuce, tomato, jalapeños, avocado, sour cream and salsa. Serve right away.
Tips
- Layering cheese between the chips, not just on top, keeps every bite loaded.
